Things people never tell you about staying alone on their own
Living alone has never been easy. It may seemed glamorous to some people but there are definitely many things that I wished people would tell me when I first moved out to live on my own.
1. You need dedicate time for housework
After moving out, I realise I need to dedicate time to clean my house. The floor in the house collates dust rather easily and you will need to clean /mop them every other day. This is even worse when they are ladies staying in the house as their hair will stop all over the place. I am just glad that I have made the decision for a robot vacuum that really saved a lot of my time.
After staying for 6 month on my own, I have already decided to skip whipping my windows and cupboards.
2. Laundry is also tiring
As much as some may rewear some clothes, you cannot rewear socks and undergarment. Eventually you will realise that these item will run out and force you to do your laundry.
Initially when I first moved out, I will still choose to hand-wash some of my clothes. 6 month down the road, I will simply just dump all my clothes into the washing machine. The convenience of washing machine cannot be compared.
I am still drying my clothes by hanging them. I hope that this will change in future when I buy a garment dryer. The hanging process takes me a around 30 minutes as I have a lot of laundry to hang.
