samsung tries to have their own update cycle by calling them One UI. But for the sake of sales, samsung doesnt update old device at the same time. i would say it's a sales/marketing issue rather than technical issue.

Apple devices are good, but (just like samsung), they are playing it too safe with lesser and lesser "game changing" innovation.

I bought android just to try out folding phone.
